Raben Tire operates tire and service centers in 6 states. We are a team of highly motivated people dedicated to providing the best tire products, best prices, and excellent service to our customers. 

Service Writers fulfill a critical role in our operations. They are responsible for building strong customer relationships by consulting with customers regarding their service needs. Together with the technicians, Service Writers ascertain the cause of the issue(s) that prompted a given customer's visit, works to address and resolve those issues.

Individual Performance

  • Consistent demonstration and utilization of all safety measures, training and equipment to prevent injury to yourself, fellow team members and customers, as well as damage to customer and company property and equipment
  • Greet all customers within 30 seconds of entry and within 3 rings on the phone
  • Engaging customers with questions designed to assess need and understand their situation
  • Reviewing the consultative vehicle inspection sheet results thoroughly with every customer on every vehicle and ensure that they have a complete understanding of their vehicle's health, their PM opportunities and any upcoming service needs that they should be anticipating
  • Effectively making product and service recommendations based upon the customer's need and the results of vehicle inspections
  • Staying current on all product and service offerings and effectively conveying their value to our customers
  • Completing all paperwork, invoicing and ticketing accurately and timely
  • Effectively utilize Raben systems and technologies to properly bill products and services, maintaining margin rates within the Raben gross margin structure
  • Maintaining the upkeep of merchandise displays including the tire wall, battery and wiper racks, counter displays etc.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the sales floor, waiting area, shuttle, coffee service and restrooms
  • Demonstrating a sense of urgency for our customer and a high value of their time throughout their Raben experience

Teamwork

  • Arrive on-time for all scheduled shifts
  • Minimize unplanned absences to true emergencies and unpreventable illnesses
  • Consistently demonstrate good housekeeping standards (sweeping, trash disposal, counter organization, sales floor and customer waiting area)
  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude with all team members and help other team members whenever possible

  • Maintain a professional presentation at work by proper wear and display of company uniform and name tag
  • Address customers and other team members politely and professionally with good eye contact and a friendly demeanor
  • Operate at all times with the utmost integrity and loyalty to the team
  • Proactively look for ways to enhance personal productivity and add value to your store team
